Do I need an Apple Watch?
Not necessarily, but Kairos's full readiness tabs require compatible heart/device evidence in Apple Health. An Apple Watch is the primary supported way to add overnight heart-rate variability, sleeping heart rate, sleep, and live signals where your model supports them. Series 8 and later may also provide wrist temperature after Apple Health has enough valid data.
Where is my health data stored?
Raw Apple Health samples and Kairos's readable history stay on your devices; eligible non-health preferences and purchase state may sync through your private iCloud account. Two optional, consent-first services process selected data off-device: Reed processes the message, derived summary, memory or meal image you choose, and Bloodline transiently processes report pages you select. The Privacy Policy gives the exact fields and server records.
What are the plans and limits?
Kairos has two plan families: Kairos (Classic) for the core readiness experience and Kairos Complete — with Reed. Complete includes up to 25 Reed conversations and 4 meal-photo analyses per UTC day. Every active membership includes 2 Bloodline reads per UTC calendar month; extra reads may be purchased as consumables. The App Store purchase sheet shows the current localized price, billing period, and any trial for which StoreKit says you are eligible before you confirm.
What does Reed send off my phone?
Only after Reed's version-5 in-app permission screen names Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Bedrock, and the Anthropic Claude AI model, lists every data category, and you check the permission control and tap Allow AWS AI processing, a request may contain your message; the bounded receipt of current and up to seven prior readings Kairos displayed, including its timing, freshness, factors, coverage, and missing-signal explanation; facts you add to memory; up to 24 recent turns and send times; today's meal totals; one request-time clock receipt; a meal image or note you select; a random retry identifier; and access proof. Raw Apple Health rows and separate raw HRV samples are not included. Choosing Not now sends none of this data. The exact field list and controls are in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
What is Bloodline, and where does my lab report go?
For each upload you approve, selected pages travel over HTTPS through Kairos's AWS service to an AWS-hosted Anthropic Claude model in Amazon Bedrock for transcription. AWS states that Bedrock inputs and outputs are not shared with model providers. Kairos does not intentionally write readable pages or transcription to its server databases or application logs; limited purchase, credit, anti-replay, held-upload, and non-content batch records remain under the retention periods in the Privacy Policy. Results live on your iPhone. Always compare them with the source report and a clinician; Bloodline is not medical advice.
Why do my numbers sometimes freeze?
That's honesty, not a bug. watchOS does not expose a definitive wrist-contact signal to Kairos. Kairos uses the age and availability of compatible readings, stamps stale values instead of faking them forward, and resumes updating as fresh evidence arrives.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Kairos, and choose Cancel. Apple shows the effective date. If you are using an eligible free or discounted trial, Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid conversion. Refund eligibility is handled by Apple and varies by transaction, storefront, and law.
How do I access, correct, withdraw, delete, or appeal a consumer-health-data request?
Use Kairos Settings → Privacy → Erase all Kairos data for local content and eligible non-purchase private-iCloud values. That control does not send a server-ledger request. To start intake for a server request, email zero@neuralway.ai with the subject Consumer Health Data Request and name the right you wish to exercise. Ordinary email does not authenticate a ledger record; do not attach a report, receipt, transcript, or raw Health data. Is Kairos a medical device?
No. Kairos is a general-wellness app to help you understand your recovery and train smarter. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical questions.
My readings look off — what should I check?
Kairos can use only compatible data that is actually available. Wearing a compatible watch to bed, keeping it charged, and granting the relevant Health permissions can improve overnight coverage. Readiness uses sparse, prior-only evidence from up to 60 calendar days and shows missing signals rather than treating them as zero. If something still looks wrong, email us and include no raw Health export unless support gives you a secure, specific reason and method.
